When we started developing CotranslatorAI just over a couple years ago, OpenAI was already on GPT 3.0.
Within a short time, they raced ahead to 3.5 and then 4.0. But now, after a few back-and-forths between 4.5, and even the promise of 5.0, it seems they’ve stalled out at 4.1 for a while.
Meanwhile, Stanislav has been steadily advancing CotranslatorAI. He’s taken us from version 1, through 2, and now 3.
And he’s about to match OpenAI with our very own CotranslatorAI 4.0!
Is this exciting or what?!
Here are some major updates you can look forward to in CotranslatorAI 4.0.
The brand-new Quick Run menu is designed for fast-paced post-editing workflows, no matter what interface you’re using. Imagine running any prompt in your prompt library quickly in an MTPE workflow without having to remember keyboard shortcuts, or even the assigned prompt action.
How many times have you asked the AI to edit something and then had to go back through word-by-word to check what it changed? In version 4.0, you’ll be able to see those edits in easy, MS Word tracked changes… all with just the click of a button!
We’ve also enhanced the built-in keyboard shortcuts for the Ad-hoc Prompt field, which will support both the Generative AI Iterative Translation (GAIT) Workflow and the new Generative AI Iterative MTPE (GAIM) Workflow.
And we’ve sprinkled a bit of magic in other areas too.
As we wrap up internal testing and move to beta testing, I invite you to stay tuned. I’ll be sharing more about these updates in the weeks to come.
Regardless of your workflow, CotranslatorAI is the tool designed to help you translate and post-edit faster and do better work than ever before.
And this combination of better work done faster is the way we will open new markets for high-quality, human-led, AI-powered translations in the years to come!
Let’s keep improving!
