Yes, you can do that if the client knows they’re just getting raw MT. And GAIT-Augmented MT is better than legacy MT. But this is still risky. The AI understands nothing. It is simply a pattern-matching engine. Even with a perfect gold standard anchor, the AI is merely predicting the next plausible word based on the patterns you fed it. It produces a translation “in your voice,” but that does not guarantee accuracy, or even perfect consistency. It can sound good while being completely wrong. To deliver optimized quality, the translator must remain involved to the very end to validate meaning, not just style.
